About The EnviroSongsters

Peter Lenton and Remy Rodden have shared stages at various times since the 1990’s, finding that combining their unique talents and perspectives create an irresistible synergy for young learners. In 2019, they became the Partners in Rhyme to tour Yukon schools and festivals, and planned to expand further as The EnviroSongsters. But the pandemic hit, and the plans were put on hold…until now.

(A Yukon tour planned for Spring 2020 was transformed into YouTube-based “pivot” project known as the School at Home video series featuring some of our songs and teachings. More here.)

Individually, Peter and Remy are established artists in their own right …

Peter Lenton …aka  Peter Puffins Whale Tales, The Alberta-based Lenton was originally a decorated teacher and curriculum specialist. His students responded to his incredible energy with such enthusiasm, that he was inspired to take his singing and guitar playing to the stage full-time and never looked back. Some 20 years later, he is always evolving his storytelling skills, passion for the environment, and unflagging belief in children merging it all together into something fresh and inviting.

Peter has become a legendary artist in kids’ concert series and festival circuits. He was awarded a 2011 Juno for Best Children’s Album.

Remy Rodden …aka the “Envirosinger,” is a Yukon-based environmental educator and singer-songwriter who’s been inspiring kids and adults alike for over 30 years. Known for his catchy, eco-friendly tunes, Remy combines music and nature to help people groove their way to greener living. From running wilderness camps to leading youth programs across the Yukon he’s dedicated his career to fostering a love for the environment. Most recently, he finished a four-year stint teaching White River First Nation kids in Canada’s most westerly community.

With three albums and multiple Best Kids’ Album nominations under his belt, Remy’s music has earned him fans worldwide—even in Antarctica!

Both Peter and Remy were nominated as solo performers for both Children’s Artist of the Year 2021 (Western Canada Music Awards) and the Children’s Album of the Year 2022 (Canadian Folk Music Awards).
